Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call during Mann Ki Baat, the Ministry of Ayush has taken a bold step in bridging traditional knowledge with modern science. Under the ‘One Day as a Scientist’ initiative, students across India gained hands-on experience in scientific research related to Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Homoeopathy, and Yoga.

🔬 Immersive Science Learning for Students
Three major research institutions hosted student visits:
📍 National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur – Students from Amity University Jaipur explored cutting-edge technology like Body Plethysmographs, CPET machines, and a 3D VR lab, focusing on respiratory research.
📍 Regional Research Institute (H), Gudivada – Students from Dr. Gururaju Government Homeopathy Medical College learned scientific methods used in Homoeopathy research, guided by Dr. Kishan Banoth.
📍 Central Research Institute for Yoga & Naturopathy, Jhajjar – School students from Captain Jailal Academic School, Haryana, were introduced to the science behind Yoga and Naturopathy.
🎯 National Science Day 2025: Shaping Future Innovators
The initiative aligns with this year’s National Science Day theme: ‘Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat’.
🚀 A Step Towards Integrating Traditional Medicine & Modern Science
Students were excited and inspired, with many expressing a newfound interest in research and Ayush-based healthcare careers. Faculty members praised the initiative, highlighting its role in shaping future scientists and innovators.
Encouraged by the success, the Ministry of Ayush plans to expand the program, ensuring that more students get an opportunity to explore the intersection of science and traditional medicine.
