Dr. Jyoti Keswani, B.N.Y.S., Ph.D. (Yogic Sciences) is a professor and HOD, Sant Hirdaram Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences for Women, Bhopal. She has been teaching theoretical and practical aspect of ancient Indian literature, ancient yogic texts, philosophy, applied aspects of yoga particularly yoga in education and therapy. She has worked in various institutions where she has employed yogic practices for successful treatment and rehabilitation of patients including the victims of Union Carbide tragedy. She has contributed to a number of researches pertaining to the field of yoga and Naturopathy and has published 17 research papers, 6 articles and 12 conference papers. She has also contributed to dissemination of health based knowledge to the masses by authoring two books on Sprouts and their benefits in Hindi as well as a number of articles on different aspects of health and healthy practices. She is a member of Editorial board in “Journal of Complimentary and Allied Health Research” and “Frontiers in Pain Research”. She is member of board of studies and examiner in various universities. She is member of Board of Trustees of Sambhavna Trust Clinic, Bhopal, an NGO dedicated to treatment and rehabilitation of Bhopal Gas Tragedy Survivors. Her research areas include exploring into physiological and biochemical effects of practices in Yoga and Naturopathy.
